There are three major delivery companies operating in Istanbul. These are Yemeksepeti.com , Getir.com and Trendyol.com .

You can order food from almost all restaurants in Istanbul, inclusive of fast food chains (e.g. Starbucks, Burger King, Domino's Pizza, Papa John's) from these delivery companies.

You can also order groceries from supermarkets as well. It is a good way not to carry heavy groceries (e.g. bottles of water) yourself and have it delivered to your apartment.

• Warning

  • You cannot register with foreign mobile number. It only allows registration with Turkish mobile number. 

  • However, you can order as a guest or with your Facebook profile.

What delivery address should I enter?

• Street:

  • "Sehit Mumtaz Sokak"

  • "Sehit Mumtaz" is the name of the street and "sokak" means street in Turkish

• Building Name:

  • Leave blank, because building has no name.

• Building Number:

  • "No:1"

• Flat Numer:

  • Leave blank, because there is no official flat number.

  • Just make sure you add the building number "No:1"

• Phone Number:

  • Enter your mobile number.

  • If you encounter problem entering a non-Turkish mobile phone number, please leave box blank.

  • Do not enter foreign number if it does not allow you to go to next page on the website or application.

• Note to delivery courier:

  • Write the following Turkish sentence "Kosedeki buyuk yesil bina, kapisinin etrafi sari"

  • This Turkish sentence means the green building on the corner with the yellow paint around the door.

How will I know when the delivery courier arrives?

• The delivery courier is going to knock on the building's street door.

• Check for updates on the website or application about your order status. Once the status of your order updates to "the delivery courier picked up your order and is on his way to you" you should expect courier to arrive normally in less than 30 minutes.

• It helps to keep a window open and listen to the street noise. The delivery couriers always arrive with motorcycle. Thus, if you hear a motorcycle noise, it is advisable to have a look from the window to the street to see if there is a courier at the building's street door.
